Ritual Cloud connects your tasks and habits to any MCP client. You don’t call these by name — you ask in plain language and the assistant picks. This page is here so you know what’s worth asking for.

  Check-in history over any stretch you like, not just the window the app happens to be showing — and check in from the conversation. Ritual counts check-ins per routine slot, so a habit you do morning and night only counts a day when both are done.

  A cheap way to catch up on everything that moved since last time — including what you deleted. That last part matters more than it sounds: without it an assistant happily keeps discussing work you cancelled a week ago.

What it can change

Three of those groups write. An assistant connected to Ritual Cloud can add, edit and delete tasks and subtasks, create and close projects, and record habit check-ins — because being able to say “mark that done” is most of the point. It cannot create, edit or archive habits themselves; those stay in the app. Nothing is connected until you subscribe and sign in, and disconnecting the client ends its access.

Where it differs from the app

Today’s tasks mirror Ritual’s Today screen, but don’t apply the app’s Focus filter — so an answer may include something the app is currently hiding from you. Text search is a plain case-insensitive match on titles and notes, not ranked by relevance. And the server has no idea what timezone you’re in, so anything about “today” depends on your client telling it your local date.

Any client that speaks MCP

Ritual Cloud is a plain Streamable HTTP MCP server at https://api.ritual.from81.app/mcp. It isn’t tied to one vendor or one assistant, and there’s no key to paste — adding the address opens a browser to sign you in. How to turn it on has the three steps.

Getting it

Ritual Cloud is an optional monthly subscription, sold and billed by Apple, on top of Ritual for iPhone. Your iCloud sync keeps working either way. The Ritual Cloud page covers what it costs and what gets stored; the privacy policy spells out the rest.
